Artist Statement

I have always been attracted to the natural gesture of things; the grass bending in the wind, the forming and dissolving of clouds, the energy of the breaking waves, the ascending smoke from a flame.

All of nature's movements, both terrestrial and celestial, continually evolving and reshaping have helped me understand the flow of my inner life and has inspired me to create most everything I have done artistically throughout my life.

As a choreographer for over 30 years, I have used the metamorphic expression of the Earth's unceasing revelation to sculpt and balance the forms I create for Eurythmy. It is not surprising that in my glass sculptures I draw upon that which makes sense of order and delight.

My Woven Art Glass pieces are likewise stimulated from occurrences in nature. They are a culmination of several processes of manipulating the glass to form the finished work, which is unique and varied as nature herself.
I attempt to bring those elements into my work as an indication of direction and freedom. It is my hope, that all who participate with my glass are inspired to take them to another level of expression.

The journey of art lies in the interest and excitement of all who wish to partake in its beauty.
